The window on Macey Island Hut

There is a window on the side of the hut, just above the sink and directly opposite one of the bunk beds. I convinced myself as soon as I arrived that I must find myself waking up in that bunk one morning to be greeted with the view out the window and to clean the window the night before!.

Jade berg behind Macey Hut

Just behind the hut is a blue jade berg which has recently cracked. I walked around it and took a photo, and stopped and listened to the ice cracking and groaning. The sea ice around Macey is melting very quickly - so much so that I dropped into a snow covered tide crack up to my thigh near the berg!
